A vote for Tiverton's Budget #2 means a decrease for you from last year’s certified Net Tax Levy of 2.9%.

A vote for Budget #2 means the town’s municipal budget will NOT go up 10%.

A vote for Budget #2 will bring the tax rate from $19.05 down to $15.96, making us more competitive with our neighboring communities.

A vote for Budget #2 will lower most tax bills, even after the revaluation.

A vote for Budget #2 sends the town the policy message, “We the taxpayers want a fiscally responsible government that reins in municipal spending, and wisely negotiates contracts with unions.”

A vote for Budget #2 is you exercising your right under the Financial Town Referendum to control your taxes by voting for the Elector Petition Budget #2.

Finally, by voting for the three Elector Resolutions you are exercising your right under the FTR to restrict, from this town council’s grasp, taxpayers’ monies for the stated purposes.

A special thanks from the taxpayers to the School Department and the Library for level-funding this year.

Remember to vote on Saturday, May 19, at the high school, or early voting on May 17 and May 18 at the Town Hall, all from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and, most importantly, control your taxes and government spending by voting for the lowest budget, Budget #2 (-2.9%), and for the three Elector Resolutions.
