East Providence improved to 8-1 in the III-A standings, good for a share of second place with Cranston East and Rogers behind unbeaten Middletown (9-0). Tiverton slipped to 7-2 and in fifth place.

E.P.'s No. 2 doubles team of Rose Lawrence and Madison Turner earned the decisive point in the match. The Townies earlier received singles victories from Mary McBride, Jessica Costello and Meg Amore.
