Edwin A. True, 85, Tiverton

Edwin A. True, 85, of Tiverton, was the husband of Maureen (Lane) True. They were married for 58 years and he was the father of of the late Kathleen (True) Medeiros. He died on Oct. 10 at St. Anne's Hospital. 

He was the son of the late William and Ada (Blake) True.  He was born and raised in Somerset, Mass., and attended Somerset High School until his senior year at which time he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the  Korean War.  He then finished his education at Diman Vocational High School. 

He worked at Farina Bros. in Holbrook for several years and then as a pattern maker at Pearson Yachts in Portsmouth for 25 years.  He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church. 

He is survived by his brothers Wesley True of New York, Franklin True of Maine, and was the brother of the late William True who had resided in Somerset.  He leaves many special nieces and nephews and friends whom he dearly loved. 

Visitation Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.  His funeral will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with a Mass at 11am at St Theresa's Church in Tiverton.  Burial at Pocasset Hill.  Arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI.   www.almeida-pocasset.com.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tiverton Ambulance Fund.
