Watchemoket Square Day in East Providence

Join the fun Saturday for the second annual Watchemoket Square Day, a celebration of the storied East Providence square’s past, present and future. The event opens at 9 a.m. with a parade beginning at East Providence City Hall featuring bands, local organizations and cars and vehicles en route to the Classic Car Show at Hot Rides, Inc. at 30 Veterans Memorial Parkway. The car show, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature activities for children including a bounce house, food and face-painting. The East Providence Historical Society will host walking tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. from St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. There will be lots of fun activities for kids and adults throughout the day, and the annual church bazaar at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
