Pennfield to host autumn Cornucopia of arts and crafts

PORTSMOUTH — Pennfield School will host its 21st Annual Cornucopia Professional Fine Arts and Crafts Sale on November 9 and 10 Over 60 professional artisans will display for sale their work including woodworking, jewelry, clothing, pottery, photography, home decor and other finely-made crafts. Cornucopia is a juried show and artisans are selected to participate based on the quality and uniqueness of their art.

All products are created by local artisans. Cornucopia is the school’s “Buy Local”effort to support the region’s arts and artists.

As in years past, there will be “Gifts from Pennfield” featuring items made by talented parents ranging from hand-detailed silk shawls to ornate picture frames,  cakes and other baked goodies and treats.

The event opens with a preview party” from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. For a donation, attendees can sample hors d’oeuvres, sip complimentary wine and beer, socialize with friends and, of course…shop. Preview Party tickets can be purchased in advance online at http://www.pennfield.org/community/cornucopia.php for $20. Tickets will be $25 at the door.

Cornucopia continues on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission on Saturday is $2 for adults and free to children. The Artists’ Palette Café will be open all day on Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Proceeds from the event will benefit art programs at the Pennfield School.
