The Westport Land Conservation Trust wastes no time leading its first walk of 2013 by scheduling a New Year’s Day trail walk a the Wing’s Brook Conservation Area from 1 to 3 p.m. Meet at the office at 1100 Main Road to carpool to the site.  Access to this 75 acre property is over private land.  Wing’s Brook flows from the east toward the East Branch of the Westport River, crossing under Horseneck and Old Horseneck Road along the way.  Bring your own water and wear sturdy shoes; hike or snowshoe, weather dependent. Call 508-636-9228 for further information.
