Grain & Grain: an introductory course in the arts of bread making and wood carving

Food—Blithewold“Grain & Grain” is a hands-on, two-day workshop focusing on artisan bread making and wooden-spoon carving. Participants will be introduced to the world of baking artisan breads, and in the process make a variety of breads to take home each day. As the bread rises or bakes, students then will delve into learning how to hand carve a one-of-a-kind wooden spoon made from Blithewold hardwood that they can take home. Both are very tactile processes, which can be extremely empowering as students learn to work with their hands and produce something of value.
The course is taught by Ashley Look, a Certified Natural Chef from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, Colorado.
