Celebrating autumn’s colors in Westport

WESTPORT — Master gardener Celeste Penney of The Garden Club of Buzzards Bay selects blue hydrangeas for a floral design entry in the “September Light” Flower Show to be held Friday in Westport. Expert gardeners from Marion, Mass. to Little Compton will participate in the show, presented under the auspices of the Garden Club of America to celebrate the warm, rich colors of autumn on the Southcoast. There will be flower arrangements, a horticultural competition, a “Men’s Challenge” category and photography exhibits. The free event is co-sponsored by the Little Compton Garden Club.
