Tony-winning ‘Putnam County Spelling Bee’

C—Spotlight—PutnamSpellingThe Little Theatre of Fall River opens its summer Firebarn Season with the Tony-Award winning musical, “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” Spelling Bee, with book by Rachel Sheinkin and a vibrant score by William Finn, celebrates the joy of doing the best you can, whether or not you win the prize.  The lesson is: it’s not always the winning that counts, but rather enjoying what you do.
WHERE: 340 Prospect St., Fall River, MA
WHEN: The show opens on June 13 and runs through June 23.  Performances times are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 7 p.m.
COST: $16, with discounts for students, seniors, and groups
