In this tragic comedy, poor Prince Hamlet has started his senior year at Wittenberg University, but he still hasn’t declared a major. He ping-pongs between the contrary advice of his advisors, Martin Luther (a professor of theology) and Doctor Faustus (a professor of philosophy) in David Davalos’s prequel to “Hamlet” and “Doctor Faustus.” “Wittenberg” is a wickedly funny 21st century comedy about faith and skepticism. Here, Dr. Faustus, played by Vince Petronio, examines the brain of Luther, played by Brien Lang.
