Joe Doyle and the Little Compton Band at Sandywoods

C—Spotlight—DoyleJoe Doyle is a hit Nashville songwriter, but his musical journey began in Rhode Island, raised as the youngest of seven children in Riverside, with music ever-present. By the age of twelve, he knew he had to start playing a musical instrument. It was at Berklee College of Music in Boston that Joe was first introduced to jazz and the idea of learning to play guitar and piano. The inspiration to write songs soon followed. Joe was very fortunate upon his arrival in Music City in January of ’88. Country music was booming. He signed his first publishing deal in April, and in Joe’s ten years with BMG, his songs were recorded by the likes of Alabama, Reba McEntire, Joe Diffie, Dan Seals, Martina McBride, and many others.
The Little Compton Band is a musical team rooted in the backwoods of Little Compton, Rhode Island. Known for their diverse musical interests, the band members play captivating sets ranging in genre from reggae to jazz to Southern rock.
