Free Irish music program at Portsmouth library Tuesday


PORTSMOUTH — All ages are welcome to join in the fun of “Celebrating Ireland in Story & Song” at the Portsmouth Free Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4.

pic-celebrating2-450[1]Mary King, Phil Edmunds and special guest performer, Mike McFishman, will present a free program of music, songs and funny stories of Ireland.

Their program highlights music that includes the Celtic harp, fiddle, guitar, tin whistle and button accordion; plus traditional Irish songs and stepdance lessons at 6:30 p.m. by Mary King.

Come and enjoy an evening of lively jigs and reels, heartfelt songs and plenty of blarney to keep you laughing.

This program is funded by a grant from the North Family Trust and is free and open to the public.
