Film screenings in Tiverton, Bristol

c-spotlight-film fest“Tanghi Argentini” (USA, 2006) will be among the films to be screened when the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) stops in Tiverton and Bristol next week. Celebrate the art of the short film with this special retrospective of a half-dozen movies that were discovered at RIIFF and went on to be short-listed or nominated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science. At Sandywoods Center for the Arts on Monday, Feb. 18, “Tanghi Argentini” will be shown along with these other short films: “Gone Fishing” (United Kingdom, 2008), “This Way Up” (United Kingdom, 2008), “Kavi” (Mexico, 2009), “Time Freak” (USA, 2011), “Henry” (Canada, 2011) and “Asad” (USA/Somalia, 2012). On Wednesday, Feb. 20, The RWU Film Production Club also hosts an evening of RIIFF movies.
