Common Fence Music’s Roots Caboose presents Brown Bird: Dave Lamb and MorganEve Swain. Their shared experiences allow for music that is uniquely dark, driving, and primal. While some listeners may latch on to the more familiar influences – American folk, metal, blues – Brown Bird refuses to adhere to any one genre letting the poetic vision of thoughtful writing find its own musical expression. This results in some interesting blends, further shaped by a minimalistic reduction process that may drop down, for example, to the sound of a cello and wood blocks without losing any depth, sophistication or rhythmic drive.
