Portsmouth Historical Society gets social

Gloria Schmidt shows brothers Samuel and Mason Smith, ages 5 and 3 respectively, how students used to practice their penmanship inside the one-room Southernmost School. The Portsmouth Historical Society believes the building is the oldest surviving schoolhouse in the country.
