Hero rescuer awarded Carnegie Medal

It’s coming up on a year, but Patrick Rimoshytus thinks of Carolyn Corbett often. On Dec. 19, 2012, Mr. Rimoshytus, a long-time volunteer firefighter in Warren, pulled Ms. Corbett, of Barrington, from her burning car at the intersection of Market Street and Schoolhouse Road. Warren honors ‘hero’ rescuer

He did all he could do. And for that, Warren is giving thanks. Volunteer fire fighter Patrick Rimoshytus was due to be recognized at Tuesday night’s Warren Town Council meeting for his heroic actions last month, when he pulled a woman from a burning car following an accident on Schoolhouse Road on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
