Gilda M. DiGati, 80, Bristol

Long-time Bristol resident

Gilda M. (Massarelli) DiGati, 80, of 115 High St., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Grace Barker Nursing Home in Warren. She was the wife of the late Santo L. DiGati.

Born in Waterbury, Conn., a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Orio) Massarelli, she was a registered nurse at Women and Infants Hospital for many years before retiring in 1993. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society.

She leaves a son, Santo L. DiGati Jr. of Bristol; two daughters, Lisa G. DiGati and Gina M. DiGati, both of Bristol; a granddaughter, Gianna M. DiGati; and a sister, Jenny Morelli of Meriden, Conn.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Tuesday, May 13, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, Ill. 60018
