Past president of the RI Senior Golf Assn.

Guy C. Baer, 98, of Sylvan Road, Rumford, died Friday evening, April 25, 2008.

He was the husband of the late Margaret (Malone) Baer.

Mr. Baer retired after 50 years from the Armstrong Cork Company as a marketing representative in 1974. He was a member of the Wannamoisett Country Club for more than 50 years, a member of the East Providence Senior Citizens, the Hamilton House, and a member, four-time champion and past president of the RI State Senior Golf Association.

He leaves his children, Linda Tainsh of North Providence and Guy L. Baer of Japan; his granddaughter, Kristin Bastien and great grandson, Nicholas Bastien.
