At least he didn't get a ticket
It was not a smooth trip home for a Bristol man early Sunday morning. The man told police he was driving on Wood Street at about 1 a.m. when he was signaled to pull over to the side of the road by a car traveling behind him. He said the car, a gray, mid-1990s Nissan Maxima, had a blue flashing light on its dashboard. After pulling him over, the Maxima's driver approached his car and requested his license and registration. After he handed them over, he said the man threw the documents in his face, returned to his car and took off. The man said there were two men and a woman in the Maxima, which was last seen in the area of Wood and Bradford streets.

Carcieri to Bristol
Rhode Island Governor Donald Carcieri is expected to visit the Rhode Island Veterans' Home Thursday, March 27, to meet with veterans, and will also use the visit as a way toget word out to vets and seniors that they need to file a 2007 tax return if they want to receive a tax rebate this year from the government's "stimulus payment" program. The visit begins at 11:15 a.m.
