Long haul truck driver also worked for Martin's Cheese

Diane M. (Ibbitson) Martin, 55, of Delmage Road, Swansea, formerly of Pine Hill Road, Westport, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of David Martin.

Born in Florida, she was the daughter of the late Ira Ibbitson and the late Roberta (Nickerson) Ibbitson-Berkey. She had lived in Swansea for the past three years.

Mrs. Martin was employed as a long haul truck driver and had worked for U.E.S. Transport in Westport. She also worked for Martin's Cheese in Westport.

Besides her husband of 11 years, she leaves three children, Richard Correia of Fall River, Gene Correia of Portsmouth, R.I., and Lisa Correia of Little Compton; three foster children, William Mills of Fall River and Patrick Carter and Justin Nessler, both of Swansea; two brothers, Frederick Ibbitson of Argyle, Maine, and Steven Ibbitson of Brentwood, N.H.; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Patricia L. Tanguay.

Visitation was on Sunday, Aug. 22, followed by cremation. Arrangements were by Auclair Funeral in Fall River.
