The following incidents were reported by Warren Police between Monday, March 17 and Monday, March 24.
Monday, March 17
Eric Michaud, 26, of 55 State St., was arrested for domestic assault, domestic vandalism and domestic disorderly conduct. According to police, Mr. Michaud got into an argument with his girlfriend, kicked a bathroom door open and then shook his girlfriend outside his home. Mr. Michaud was arraigned, pleaded not guilty and assigned an April 4 court date.
Christopher Quinn, 23, of 14 Warren Ave., was arrested on three counts of simple assault and one count of disorderly conduct. Police said according to a Warren woman, Mr. Quinn punched her husband in the face, grabbed her by the neck and accidentally hit a 9-year-old on March 16. Mr. Quinn was arraigned, pleaded not guilty and assigned an April 4 court date.
A 12-year-old Kickemuit Middle School boy was arrested for possession of a knife with a blade greater than three inches long. Police said the boy had left the knife, used to carve wood, in his pants the previous night and forgot to take it out before going to school. According to police, there was no intent on the boy's part to use the knife. Police said the boy had been suspended from school, and the matter was referred to Rhode Island Family Court.
A man told police that trees had been illegally cut down on his property on Pokanoket Trail. The man said he would follow up once he had a chance to confront the homeowner he thought was responsible.
Police assisted the Department of Public Works with a sander that had run out of fuel on Market Street.
A man told police his laundry had been stolen from a Laundromat.
A caller on Child Street reported that his car had been vandalized.
A caller reported revving engines on Market Street. Police told the parties to quiet down.
Tuesday, March 18
Erica Prenda, 29, of 86 Kickemuit Road, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear at a suspended license hearing. Ms. Prenda could not post $500 bail, and was transferred to the ACI.
Kyle Boyes, 43, of 653 Main St., was arrested on a Warwick warrant for violating a Family Court restraining order. Police said they received a report of three men at the intersection of Main Street and Croade Street who appeared to be intoxicated. A background check revealed Mr. Boyes' warrant.
A 911 operator reported a possible domestic disturbance in process near Arlington Avenue, based on a cell phone call. However, the exact location was unknown, and the parties could not be found.
A woman on Arlington Avenue reported that her granddaughter was having a seizure. A rescue refusal form was signed on scene, though.
A man reported that his car was struck while it was parked on Jefferson Street.
A caller reported a person using a remote-controlled car in the middle of the road on Market Street near Adams Street. Police responded and told the person to stop.
Police delivered a no contact order to a State Street resident.
A person on Market Street told police that her co-worker wanted to file a report for property damage. The report was filed.
Police made a dispersal of a group of kids on Market Street at about 6:30 p.m.
A caller reported a person yelling outside a Market Street home at 11:45 p.m.
Wednesday, March 19
Police received a noise complaint from a woman on Main Street about loud noise from a first floor apartment. Police investigated and found no basis to the complaint.
A caller on Third Street reported a suspicious man ringing buzzers and trying to get into the apartment building. Police investigated but did not make an arrest.
A caller on Arlington Avenue reported an unwanted 17-year-old boy at their home. Police brought the boy to a bus stop at the intersection of Main and Joyce streets, and made sure he got on the bus to Providence at 11:15 a.m. Police were called back for the same boy at 11:40 p.m., but he was gone when they arrived.
An employee of a Metacom Avenue business reported someone banging on the rear door. Police investigated and said it was a delivery man.
A ticket was issued to a vehicle on Jefferson Street after a rescue unit said it could not navigate the road at 7:49 p.m.
A person on Cottage Street told police that a girl had still not returned home at 9 p.m. Police said the person did not want to file a report yet.
A caller on Main Street asked police to remove a person from their home at 11:37 p.m. Police said the person was gone when they got there.
Thursday, March 20
A woman on Child Street told police she was receiving harassing calls on her cell phone. Police filed her report.
Police received a 911 hang-up from a pay phone on Child Street. Police said there did not appear to be a problem.
Police received a report of an unwanted person from a Metacom Avenue home. Police transported the person to the bus stop on Main Street.
There was a three-car accident on Metacom Avenue near Bee Jay Court at 6:56 p.m. Police reported no injuries.
A suspicious vehicle was reported on Main Street. Police investigated and said it was just a man organizing his paperwork before using the ATM.
Friday, March 21
A woman on Market Street reported that someone threw a brick through her window at 12:41 a.m. Police investigated but did not make an arrest.
Two drivers were told to move their cars on Beach Street at 8:24 a.m. because of road work.
A 32-foot boat was reported adrift in the Kickemuit River near the Narrows at 9:33 a.m. Officials from DEM, the Warren and Bristol harbormaster's office, the Warren Fire Department and the Coast Guard said the owner made arrangements to bring the boat back in when weather permitted.
Two cars were towed from Jefferson Street because of road work.
A person reported a dirt bike rider racing up and down Franklin Street. When police investigated, they said the bike was gone.
Police received a narcotics report from Turner Street.
A suspicious vehicle was reported near Schoolhouse Road and Serpentine Road at 10 p.m. Police found the operator nearby and told the person to leave the area.
A caller from Harris Avenue reported a loud bang coming from the bottom of the road. Police investigated and said there were no signs of the noise.
Saturday, March 22
A 17-year-old Warren boy was arrested for possession of marijuana in the Ocean State Plaza on Metacom Avenue. Police said an officer on patrol was advised that a man had bought alcohol for two underage children in a car at the plaza. Police searched the car and found a small amount of marijuana, which the 17-year-old said was his. Police added that additional arrests related to the alcohol possession could follow.
Warren and Bristol police received a report of a 39-year-old man hitchhiking home. The man was advised to stay out of the roadway.
A caller reported a loose dog at 7:35 a.m. on Summit Drive. Police said the assistant animal control officer took care of the problem.
A white dog was reported loose on Market Street. Police said the assistant animal control officer took care of the problem.
A minor motor vehicle accident occurred on Water Street near Baker Street at 11:56 a.m. Police said no injuries were reported.
A caller reported a car in a ditch on Touisset Road near Barton Avenue. Police investigated and said the car had pulled off to the side of the road with a flat front tire. The owner could not be found, but the car was not blocking the roadway.
Sunday, March 23
Michael Santos, 18, of Bristol, was arrested for drunk driving. Police said at 1:42 a.m., Mr. Santos drove over the solid yellow lines on Metacom Avenue. He was stopped near Overhill Road, where police said he failed a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test. Police said Mr. Santos also failed a chemical test. He was arraigned and assigned a March 28 court date.
A 15-year-old Warren boy was arrested for breaking and entering on Franklin Street. Police said at about 9 a.m., the boy tried to break into the home of his girlfriend, who didn't want to see him. Police said the boy tried to gain access by punching through the girl's window. According to police, the boy fled the scene, but they found him nearby with a bloody hand. Police said the boy was held at the training school until Monday afternoon because of a past arrest for felony assault. The boy currently has a curfew because of this arrest, but police said he did not violate it.
A minor accident was reported on Metacom Avenue at 12:46 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Monday, March 24
A caller on Main Street reported someone playing loud music in a car at 6:25 a.m. Police said the music was turned down when they arrived.
A caller on Railroad Avenue reported several children finding a box with three bunnies on Thursday night. Police said they filed the report.
The following court cases were heard last week in Sixth Division District Court and the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal:
Erica Prenda, 29, of 86 Kickemuit Road, pleaded no contest to a warrant charge failing to appear for a suspended license charge. The court ordered her to pay a $250 fine and court costs.
Kenneth Evers, 36, of Bristol, pleaded no contest to five charges of writing fraudulent checks. The court order Mr. Evers to pay $169 restitution, and the case will be filed for a year.
Jacob Kimbrough, 27, of Barrington, pleaded no contest to a charge of refusing to submit to a chemical test. He was ordered to surrender his license for six months, pay a $500 fine, perform 10 hours of community service, pay a $200 highway assessment fee and attend drunken driving school.
Kara Dalessio, 29, of Barrington, pleaded no contest to a charge of refusing to submit to a chemical test. She was ordered to surrender her license for six months, pay a $500 fine, perform 10 hours of community service, pay a $200 highway assessment free and attend drunken driving school.
Lauren Bolvin, 26, of North Providence, pleaded no contest to a charge of refusing to submit to a chemical test. She was ordered to surrender her license for six months, pay a $500 fine, perform 10 hours of community service, pay a $200 highway assessment fee and attend drunken driving school.
