Emile Laforge, 85, Warren

Born in Warren

Emile Laforge, 85, of 54 Barker Ave., Warren, affectionately known to many as "Petu," died peacefully Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Grace Barker Nursing Home in Warren. He was the former husband of Hilda (Gracia) Laforge.

Born in Warren, a son of the late Hormidas and Jane (Asselin) Laforge, he was a truck driver for the former Gilbert's Seafood Company in Bristol. He was one of the founding fathers of the I.O.O.B. club.

He leaves a son, Emile Laforge of Warren; two daughters, Mary Jane Labao and Gloria F. Smith, both of Bristol; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Dorothy Hasquin and the brother of the late Kathryn Laforge.
