Captain: worst beating I've ever seen

EAST PROVIDENCE — After allegedly assaulting his half-sister for what police said was a span of at least three days, Timothy Joseph Wallace Jr. was arrested on Tuesday evening and faces charges of domestic felony assault. The 23-year-old resident of 27 Cooper St. is being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institution (ACI) in Cranston.

East Providence Police Capt. Walter Barlow said the girl took the worst beating he has ever seen.

"There wasn't a place on her body that wasn't bruised," he said. "He beat her over every inch of her body and face."

Capt. Barlow said the victim is being cared for at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and police will not be able to speak with her for about two weeks, because she is in such bad shape. He said a violation and bail hearing are both pending and will be held in two weeks.
