Andrew Voikos

Retired general manager,

worked at Serpa's Getty

Andrew Voikos, 85, of Hope Street, died Sunday, April 18, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Mary E. (Frazier) Voikos, his wife of 53 years.

Born in Attleboro, Mass., a son of the late Angelo and Annie (Pascalis) Voikos, he lived in Riverside for 26 years, Attleboro for 20 years and Bristol for four years.

Mr. Voikos was a general manager of Glass Craft of Slaterville for 25 years, before retiring in 1977. He also was an attendant at Serpa's Getty station in Riverside and Bristol for 10 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the East Providence Disabled Veteran Association and the Attleboro High School Hall of Fame, where he lettered in basketball and football for the class of 1938.

Mr. Voikos enjoyed reading, gardening and playing tennis.

Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Andrea M. Dorr of North Scituate and Karen A. McLaughlin of Pawtucket; a son, John T. Voikos of Cohasset, Mass.; and six grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Lillian LaForcade, Margaret Dion and John Voikos.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 22, at 8:30 a.m. from the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Ave., Riverside, with a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the Greek Orthodox Annunciation Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
