communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church
Mary E. Sanchas, 75 of Residence Once on Center Street, Bristol, died Wednesday, Oct. 13 at her home surrounded by her family.
A lifelong Bristol resident, she was the wife of the late Edward J. Sanchas; and the daughter of the late Antonio & Bettina (Montoro) Nappi
Mrs. Sanchas was an office worker for Nappi Brothers Inc. in Bristol for many years. She also worked for S.E. Reins in Warren. A communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, she was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a worker for the 16th of July Feast at the church. A member of the Daughters of Isabella Circle # 70, she graduated from Colt Memorial High School in 1946.
Her survivors include two sons, Edward J. Sanchas, Jr., of Bristol and Robert Sanchas, of Warren; two sisters, Caroline Pellerin and Emily Fortin, both of Bristol and two grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher Sanchas of Barrington
Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Nicholas W., Louis P., Joseph J. and John J. Nappi; three Sisters, Theresa Poissant, Louise Rabideau and Annie N. Sousa.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Sansone Funeral Home at 192 Wood St., Bristol with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on State St.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bristol
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church at 141 State St., Bristol.
