Angelina Raposo

Seamstress for Anderson-

Little was devoted mother

Angelina (Mello) Raposo, 83, of Sanford Road, Westport, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, Maryland after a brief illness. She was the widow of Manuel Raposo, to whom she had been married for 55 years.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Almeida) Mello.

Mrs. Raposo was a seamstress for several garment firms, most notably Anderson-Little, from which she retired.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport.

She recently moved to Silver Spring, Md., to be with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Raposo leaves a daughter, Cynthia Raposo of Silver Spring; two granddaughters, Daniella and Mariana Furey, both of Silver Spring; and two brothers, Alfred Correiro and Raymond Correira, both of Florida.

She was the sister of the late Gilbert and Arthur Mello and Mary Medeiros.

Her funeral Mass was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements were by A.F. Almeida & Son Funeral Home, Fall River.
