To the editor:
I am writing with regards to Judge Procaccini's appalling decision to give the "public right of way" on 3 Riverview Drive to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cloutier. I lived in that home for at least a dozen years (early 1980s to 1995). It was always known for generations before me and during my time living there as a "public way."
My husband and I taught our children how to swim from there and watched many young families do the same. There was never a boat ramp, only access for a canoe or a kayak. It was never a gathering point for teenagers or parties, just an open area to the water for neighborhood families.
The Cloutiers want their privacy? Ever heard of Alaska? I don't think that I even had a single curtain or shade in the whole house! This judgment needs to be overturned! Many people, who have lived in the area for years, will prove that the "right of way" has always been public.
By the way, Mr. Cloutier, even if the two-car garage was not utilized, there is room for at least six cars to park in the front.
People think of you as "pariahs," Mrs. Cloutier? I could think of better. Too bad that I live in Florida these days. I have, however, pledged my money where my mouth is to fight this disgrace for my neighbors and friends.
