Lifelong Tiverton resident, member of Holy Ghost Church
Anne E. Camara, 85, of 237 Judson St., Tiverton, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Catholic Memorial Home, Fall River. She was the wife of the late John J. Camara.
Born in Tiverton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Silvia-Vargas) Nerhona, she was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.
Mrs. Camara had worked as a machine operator at the former Royal Garment before retiring. She was also a homemaker.
She was a former member of the VFW Lades Auxiliary, Woodrow L. Silvia Post 5392, the Tiverton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and the Tiverton Senior Center.
She was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton.
She leaves a daughter, Judith A. Thorpe of Tiverton; two granddaughters and four great-granddaughters. She was the sister of the late Mary Mendes, Rose Silvia and Joseph, Manuel, Frank and Benjamin Neronha.
Her funeral was held on Tuesday, Jan. 20, from the Oliveira Funeral Home, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church. Burial was in Pocasset Hill Cemetery.
