Marine Corps veteran, retired meat cutter
Alfred Braz, 73, of 3465 Main Road, Tiverton, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Southpointe Nursing home. He was the husband of Agnes C. (Rego) Braz.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Manuel C. Braz and the late Georgianna (Medeiros) Braz, he had lived in Tiverton for over 30 years.
Before retiring, he had worked as a meat cutter for the First National Stores at several different locations. He had more recently worked at Clements' Market in Portsmouth.
Mr. Braz served as a corporal in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, David Braz; two grandchildren, Corey and Cody Braz, all of Tiverton; a sister, Eileen Verner of Amherst, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward Braz.
Private arrangements are with the Pocasset Memorial Funeral Home, Tiverton.
