Born in Sao Miguel
Armando D. Amaral, 80, of Goldsmith Avenue, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Evergreen House Health Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Maria Amelia (Pacheco) Amaral.
He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Manuel and Beatriz (Pacheco) Amaral. Mr. Amaral worked as a mason for Amaral Masonry until 1989.
Besides his wife of 54 years he is survived by six children, Antonio Amaral and Carlos Amaral, both of Seekonk, Armando Amaral and Goretti Rosa, both of East Providence, Fatima Sardinha of Fall River, and Victor Amaral of West Warwick; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Oscar, Angelo, Antonio and Manuel Amaral, Rafaela Sousa, Lidia and Liduina Amaral.
His funeral was held April 17 from the Rebello Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Online condolences at www.rebellofuneralhome.com
