Wright’s Farm Gift Shop Raises Funds for ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ at Annual Fall Fling

Enjoy the Wright’s Farm Gift Shop all month long in October to raise money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the largest network of breast cancer fundraising and awareness events in the nation. In honor of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wright’s Farm is donating all profits from select ‘Beautifully Brave’ marked items in its legendary gift shop during the month of October. Wright’s Farm Restaurant will also match all donations collected at gift shop registers.

Guests are invited to a special celebration on Friday, October 20th, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m featuring special raffles, complimentary wine and hors d’oeurves. The event is open to the public.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
