Whitehouse to host dinner in East Providence

Posted

EAST PROVIDENCE — With the General Election just a few days away, U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will host a free community dinner in East Providence Sunday, Nov. 4, to listen to local residents’ concerns and take questions. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Santa Maria Club, 846 Broadway.

Sen. Whitehouse will discuss his fight to support Rhode Island small businesses and put Rhode Islanders back to work, preserve Social Security and Medicare benefits, implement the Buffett Rule to make sure the wealthiest Americans pay their fair share in taxes, and protect Pell Grants for students.

Sen. Whitehouse has regularly held community dinners throughout Rhode Island.  These dinners, which are free and open to Rhode Islanders, provide the opportunity for residents to talk directly with the Senator about the issues that matter most to them and their families.

Those interested in attending can contact the Whitehouse for Senate campaign headquarters by calling (401) 489-2501 or by e-mailing rsvp@whitehouseforsenate.com.
