Westport tennis tourney: The focus is on doubles


The Dianne B. Snyder Tennis Complex invites doubles teams to participate in the DBSTC Tennis Open Doubles Extravaganza.

Find your partner and come help celebrate the tennis complex's tenth anniversary in this competitive and fun clay court tournament

Celebrate the tennis complex's tenth  anniversary with this competitive and fun clay court tournament to be held at the Acoaxet Club, 152 Howland Road, Westport Harbor.

Registrations should be received by September 24. Tennis balls will be provided and players should wear half-whites (shirts or shorts/skirts) and court sneakers.

First rounds start Saturday at 10 a.m. or 11:30 a.m. Start times will be available after Thursday Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. Finals may run into Sunday and there will be consolation rounds for two-match minimums

There will be competition for men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles and wheelchair one up/one down play. Entry fee is $50 per team. Mail checks and registration forms to DBSTC, 3 Windsor Drive, Westport, MA 02790 ℅ Nygaard.
