Westport: Search turns up nunchuks, knives, sword, drugs

Cody Cadieux, 21, of  259D Tickle Road, Westport, was summonsed to Fall River District Court after police obtained a search warrant (for drugs) and discovered drugs and weapons inside his house. Police said that illegal weapons found included double-edged switchblade, double-edged sword, double edged tango knife, nunchuks and BB guns. He was summonsed on charges of  possession with intent to distribute class D drug (subsequent offense), possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a class A drug, possession of a class B drug, and possession of a class E drug. Drugs found included marijuana and illegal prescription pills.

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Sodom Road.  Police said that the boy displayed a knife during an altercation and broke a mirrored door in the house. He then chased a male into the yard attempting to stab/slash him.  He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and malicious or wanton damage of property.  Police found the juvenile walking on Sodom Road bleeding from a cut to his hand.  Police said he threw the knife into the woods prior to police approaching him —the knife was later found with blood on it.

Justin Allen Ledoux, 25, of 29 Buckley Street, Fall River was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the area of Holiday Lanes.  He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possession of a class A drug.  Police found 31 baggies of suspected heroin in the vehicle during the arrest.

Saturday, Nov. 30

George W Pierce, 43, of 742 Pine Hill Road, Westport was arrested on a charge of domestic assault  at his home after police responded to a 911 call from a woman who was outside the house waiting for police. Police said the woman had signs of injuries and said that she had been struck by the suspect . She was treated by Westport Fire Department personnel at the scene.

Matthew Levesque, 26, of 219P Tickle Road, Westport, was arrested for drunk driving, operation of motor vehicle to endanger, and marked lane violation after he crashed head-on into a stone wall in the 600 area of Drift Road. The driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution and was released a short time later. He was then booked and later released from police custody.

Tuesday, Dec. 2

Lori Folan, 43, of 947 Roosevelt Ave., Apt #2 Pawtucket, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the area of Union Street.  Her vehicle was seen weaving by police and after field sobriety tests she was placed under arrest for drunk driving, second offense, driving to endanger, and a marked lanes violation.
