Westport Police: Drug arrest, bunches of warrants

At 9:39 a.m., Westport Police served two arrest warrants on Cory J. Medeiros, 22, of 10 Sanford Road, Westport.

After a 12:41 p.m. motor vehicle stop on State Road, police charged David L. Clay, 67, of 817 Gifford Road, Westport, on a warrant and for driving with a suspended license.

A resident reported a motor vehicle break-in on John Reed Road.

Wednesday, July. 17

Called to Highland Avenue at 7:36 a.m. for a report of suspicious activity, police arrested Frederick T. Preece, 23, of Fall River, on three outstanding warrants.

At 11:49 p.m., a break-in was reported on Pine Hill Road.

Thursday, July 18

A break-in was reported on Fisher Road at 4:47 p.m.

Friday, July 19

A 10:05 p.m. car stop on State Road led to the arrest of Brian E. Jagielski, 47, of Little Compton. He was charged with two counts of illegal possession of drugs — Percocet and Suboxone — and driving with a revoked license.

Monday, July 22

At 3:30 p.m., firefighters were called to Sodom Road in the area behind the Holy Ghost Club. The Fire Department said it was a brush fire that was quickly extinguished.
