Weather closes portion of Market Street in Warren

Posted

Commuters who travel Market Street north to Metacom Avenue may want to seek an alternate route home.

Around 4:30 p.m., powerful winds, heavy rain and hail knocked down several trees and some power lines, located mostly near Country Inn Restaurant, 382 Market St.

Police are unsure how long it will take workers to clear the road.

The East Bay is being pounded with showers and severe thunderstorms this afternoon, which should subside by 6 p.m., according to weather.com.
