Warren treasurer leaving post

Posted

Warren's treasurer, on the job for less than a year, is leaving.

Ross Latham started in July 2012 and prior to coming to Warren, served as the accounts payable and receivable clerk for the Town of Portsmouth.

Though he was happy for the chance in Warren, Mr. Latham said Tuesday that his role in Warren "isn't the right position" for him.

Though he would not comment on personnel matters, Warren Town Manager Thomas Gordon said the town has advertised the position as open and hopes to appoint a replacement by July or August. Mr. Latham said that even though he is leaving, he has agreed to stay on until either the town finds a replacement, or he finds new employment.

The position paid $62,424 this year and under the new town budget passed Monday night, will pay $63,829 during the 2013-14 fiscal year.
