Warren teen wins Berklee music award

Posted

Sophia Diodati, 15, is pretty good at the keys, and she can sing too. The Warren resident, a Portsmouth Abbey student, recently took second place in the Individual Musician category during the 2013 Berklee College of Music's High School Jazz Festival, held late last month. She wowed judges with her singing and piano playing. Her fellow students did well, too, and the school as a whole took third place in the Vocal Ensemble category, as well as bringing home two other individual awards.
