Warren seminar focuses on sales

A free seminar on how to double sales in the new economy is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the East Bay Chamber of Commerce office, 16 Cutler St., Warren. Registration is required; call 245-0750. In today’s technology-saturated world, information is cheap. The Internet has changed everything for prospects — not to mention for salesmen who hope to win their business. In this interactive program, learn how to use a simple system to close sales more quickly and with greater frequency. Presenter Marc Wayshak is the author of two books on sales and leadership. He is a sales expert who created the Game Plan Selling System based on his experiences as an All-American athlete, Ivy League graduate, startup entrepreneur and years of research, training and selling. He has a master’s degree from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s from Harvard University.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
