Warren police, medical examiner converge on home

Posted

Warren police and investigators from the Rhode Island Medical Examiners Office have converged on a home at 169 Child St., after police received a rescue call from the residence. Warren Deputy Police Chief Joseph Loiselle would only confirm that police received a rescue call from the area, but would not elaborate.

“We’ll have something more later,” he said.

However, a nearby resident told the Warren Times that police arrived at the home around 3 p.m. At least one officer drew his weapon, the resident told the Times.

The house, at the corner of Child and Mulberry Street, is owned by Amelia Smith, according to Warren tax records. More information will be added as updates come in.
