Warren police logs: Two charged with DUI

Someone called in a fight on Davis Street just after 9 a.m.

Police tracked down a loose dog on Water Street.

A woman found a bike and brought it to police headquarters.

Jennifer Anne Pine, 34, of 409 Metacom Ave., was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Tuesday, July 8

Police got a call about a foul odor on Hugh Cole, and checked it out. Things smelled fine, so they left.

A caller on Davis Street said she was concerned about her upstairs neighbor, because water was coming through the ceiling. Police reported that the neighbor was taking a shower, and it was probably a problem with the pipes.

Police got a noise complaint on Davis Street and broke out the decibel meter. The loud music they subsequently measured read out at 66 decibels; police issued a warning to turn it down.

Police got a call about a man, who might be drunk, walking along Cottage Street. There was no problem.

A group of kids was called in for loitering on Davis Street.

A William Avenue man came in to police headquarters to report being assaulted by his wife.

Police picked up Jessica L. Farias, 32, of 34 Ellis Ave. on a warrant and charged her with domestic simple assault/battery, domestic disorderly conduct and domestic refusal to relinquish a telephone.

Manuel Boton, 39, of Providence, was pulled over on Metacom Avenue just before 5 p.m. and arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Police got a call about a man and woman shouting on Child Street. Police said there was no fight; the two were apparently upset about a bill they’d just received.

Police got a call about two suspicious people wearing ski masks on Child Street. Turned out to be two kids playing around.

An Ellis Avbenue resident complained that juveniles in the area were too loud.

Wednesday, July 9

A Bridge Street woman called police to report that she may have been drugged. Emergency crews responded.

Police got a call about a breaking and entering on Thompson Street.

A caller found several syringes on Arlington Avenue.

A Market Street woman reported having an issue with her husband.

A caller from Vernon Street reported that his pet tortoise was stolen from his yard.

Joseph A. Cintron, 22, of 380 Metacom Ave., first floor, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

A Touisset Road resident reported cyber-harassment.

Thursday, July 10

Someone complained that a man was riding a dirt bike on Locust Terrace.

A loud music complaint came in rom Davis Street.

Christine A. Freitas, 34, of 80 Seymour St., was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence.

Police dispersed a group of teens from Davis and Bowen streets.

A caller complained that an elderly man on Vernon Street was dumping trash in the woods. Police noted that it was yard debris, and that it had been retrieved and brought back to the owner, who lives on Barden Lane.

A barking dog complaint came in from Jacobs Point.

Jamerson Bateman, 34, of Warwick, was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Sixth Division District Court in Providence, following a traffic stop on Main Street at 9:25 p.m.
