Warren police logs: Sword gets 'donated' to pawn shop
Michael Ponte, 22, of 363 Child St., first floor, was charged with domestic simple assault/battery and domestic disorderly conduct, after police were called to Child Street for a fight.

Saturday, April 12
Tyler G. Brown, 33, of Brstol, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, BAC unknown, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, after police pulled him over on Metacom Avenue at 1:10 a.m.
A woman on Metacom Avenue called police at 2:08 a.m. and asked for police after getting into an argument with her boyfriend.
Someone called about a bird stuck and hanging by its leg from a nest, which had been built adjacent to high power lines. The animal control officer was not able to get close enough.
Someone called the police (really?) after seeing a deer on Main Street, near Fatima Drive.
Police kicked two boys out of the Vernon Street cemetery; they’d been playing with Airsoft rifles.
Someone complained that a woman walking a small black dog at Water and Summer streets was not cleaning up her pet’s mess.
Police were twice asked to check on the well-being of a man on Main Street.
Sunday, April 13
David W. McDonald Jr., 33, of Attleboro, Ma., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense, BAC unknown, and refusal to submit to a chemical test after police pulled him over on Kickemuit Road at 1:56 a.m.
The animal control officer captured a stray cat on Bridge Street and brought it to the shelter.
An official at Hasbro Children’s Hospital reported possible child abuse.
