Warren man tells Barrington police someone sabotaged his truck

Is it a case of sabotage or just a truck starting to show its years?

At about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 4, Barrington police received a phone call from a Warren man who said someone had sabotaged his 1990 GMC pickup truck.

Police responded to the Barrington Shopping Center, where the truck had been parked, and met with the vehicle’s owner. The 53-year-old man said his truck had been running fine earlier in the day, but believed someone may have added something to its engine, which resulted in a fluid leak. (The report did not specify what type of liquid was leaking from the truck.)

A police officer filled out a report to document the situation.
