Warren harbomaster finalist for Bristol post

Warren Harbormaster Matt Calouro is one of three finalists for the vacant harbormaster post in neighboring Bristol.

Mr. Calouro, who is the brother of Bristol Town Council member Nathan Calouro and son-in-law of recently retired Bristol Harbormaster Joseph Cabral, was selected as one of the top three candidates Wednesday night by the Bristol Town Council; initially 198 hopefuls applied for the position. Hewill be interviewed in the coming weeks along with two other finalists, including David Sylvaria Jr., who works as a captain for the Blount cruise ships in Warren.

Mr. Calouro currently serves as both the Warren harbormaster and the assistant Bristol Harbormaster. He lives in Bristol.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
