Warren Folk’s Festival this Sunday

The festival focuses on all things local with plenty of art from Rhode Island area artists, including many members of The Collaborative, and food from local restaurants including Eli's Kitchen, Balasco's Pizzeria, Statesman Tavern and more. There will be a kids crafts table, a photobooth, and a Beer Garden sponsored by Narragansett Beer. The main music stage will feature local acts including Haunt the House, Roots Government, John Colvert and the Great Brighton Fire, The Quahogs and The Low Cards. The Collaborative has also partnered with 75orless Music to add a second stage of music featuring Jets Can’t Land, Six Star General and Dave Tessier All-Star Band of Allstars.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
