Warren, Bristol women charged in thefts

Two women are facing charges in Bristol and Warren for what police said are a string of thefts dating back a month.

Warren police last Wednesday picked up Kristen L. Motta, 27, of 106 Cutler St., first floor, and Jennifer K. Harris, 32, of Bristol, on outstanding warrants for charges that include breaking and entering, conspiracy and misdemeanor receiving stolen goods. They face other charges in Bristol, police said.

The Warren charges stem from the theft of jewelry nearly a month ago from a Kickemuit Road home. Detectives from Warren and Bristol were able to track down some of the jewelry to an area pawn shop, and Warren police obtained an arrest warrant for the two.
