Elect a town council that supports the Mount Hope Bay Greenway (MHBG)….

We at Bike Tiverton have been working hard to get the state to fund and build a 2.5-mile off-road bicycle and walking path along Mount Hope Bay from the Sakonnet River Bridge to the state line in Fall River. This is a wonderful opportunity for Tiverton to create a safe space for kids and families to walk, jog, bike, and socialize; a beautiful linear park to be enjoyed by all.

In early 2019, the newly elected Tiverton Town Council will need to vote on moving forward with the project before it can be submitted to the state. We are closer than ever to realizing this vision, but it can’t happen without approval from the Town Council. We’ve reached out to the candidates and here’s where they stand:

In Favor: Michael Burk, Joan Chabot, Stephen Clarke, Donna Cook, Robert Coulter, Denise Demedeiros, Nancy Driggs, John Edwards, Raymond Fougere, Patricia Hilton, Kelly Levesque, David Paull, David Perry, Joseph Perry, and Richard Rom

Undecided: Justin Katz and William McLaughlin

Opposed: Randy Lebeau

If you want a bike path along the Bay in Tiverton, please support the candidates who will vote in favor of the path!
