Vet's Parkway ramp off Exit 4 on I-195 in East Providence reopens

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation announced right lane at Exit 4 on Interstate-195 East is scheduled to reopen Thursday, Sept. 19.

The exit leads to Veterans Memorial Parkway and Riverside. The lane has been closed since on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012.

Cost of the rehabilitation to the ramp was estimated at $2 million. It is part of a larger project to preserve the old Washington Bridge and transform it into a linear park and bikeway.
