Twelve appointed to Barrington Charter Review Commission

Posted

Two members of the town’s committee on appropriations recently earned spots on the charter review commission — a board that will take a closer look at the legal document that defines the structure, powers, functions and procedures of the local municipal government.

Tim Sweetser and Joel Hellmann both serve on appropriations and will join 10 other residents who will review Barrington’s charter.

Appointees also include Jeff Brenner, a recent member of the Barrington Town Council, and Allan Klepper, who sits as a member of the Bristol County Water Authority board of directors.

Following is the complete list of members: Patricia Adams, Tony Arico, Jeff Brenner, John Cregan, Merrie DeSisto, Paul Dulchinos, Mary Alyce Gasbarro, Joel Hellmann, James Jackson, Allan Klepper, Tim Sweetser and Joan Warren.

Two other residents — Kathleen Crain and Meghan Sikit — both applied for the charter review commission but were not appointed by the council.
