Posted

Troop 2, under the leadership of John Tortolani and Connor Mellen, won multiple troop honors during its week stay at New England’s premier scout camp, Yawgoog Scout Reservation, in mid-August.

The 23-strong scout troop won gold medals at the Troop Tournament, the Sailing Regatta, and the Water Carnival, and was named “Troop of the Week” by the Three Point staff for the troop’s scout spirit, professionalism and demeanor.

Of special note were the performances of Matt Schryver and Chip Kreuzkamp in their sailing endeavors, of Keith Francis in his dutch oven baking, of Max Agustin in his running, and of adult leader Herminio Agustin in his achievement of the BSA Lifeguard designation.

Troop 2’s scouts earned over 80 individual merit badges and 10 rank advancements over the course of the very successful week at Yawgoog.
